Benjamin Haas is a consultant, evaluator and project manager working at the intersection of civic engagement, development cooperation, education and transnational exchange. He bridges academia and practice by combining conceptual and analytical depth with long-term field experience and policy-oriented advisory work.His work focuses on the role and positioning of civil society actors within changing political and institutional environments. Drawing on research and professional engagement in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America, he brings a grounded understanding of how civil society organisations operate within complex governance contexts and evolving development frameworks.Ben has extensive experience in evaluation design and strategic advisory roles, including the development of theories of change, context and portfolio analyses, qualitative research frameworks and comparative assessments of development instruments. He supports multi-stakeholder processes from inception and methodological design through data analysis, reporting and knowledge dissemination, including academic publications.He regularly collaborates with transcultural teams across different organisational and regional settings and facilitates dialogue between practitioners, policymakers and researchers.
